‘Fiction In A Flash Challenge’ Week #23 Entry Part 6) By Karen Ingalls @KIngallsAuthor #IARTG #WritingCommunity #FlashFiction

Hello everyone and a warm welcome to Part 6)  of the entries for my weekly: “Fiction in A Flash Challenge” Week #23.
Today I’m featuring a contribution from Karen Ingalls
Last week I set the following Challenge:
Hello everyone and welcome to my new “Fiction in A Flash Challenge!” Each week I’ll be featuring an image and inviting you to write a Flash Fiction or Non-Fiction piece inspired by that image in any format and genre of your choosing.  Maximum word count: 750 words.

Here is the image prompt and Karen’s Tanka.

I'm falling, falling
My fears hold me back from life
I'm trying, trying
To overcome and be free.

I'm praying, praying
Til fears are gone and I'm free
While angels guide me
To a life free from falling.

Like a waterfall
I now bring joy and beauty
To those who see me
Living life fully with love.

  1. How lovely, Karen. I suspect we all feel like we’re falling at times. Thank you for reminding us we can stop the falling and hope again… through prayer. 💜
