Indie Author Harmony Kent has written a number of books. The Battle for Brisingamen, her first novel, is a work of fantasy fiction and was approved by Awesome Indies within weeks of its release. Her second book, The Glade shows her equally at home in the realms of mystery, suspense and thriller – with a dash of magical realism. This book has also been approved for the Awesome Indies List. The Glade was awarded the IndieBRAG Medallion in July 2014. Harmony’s third book (Elemental Earth) is Young Adult Fantasy Fiction, and was published 31st July 2014.

As well as being an avid reader and writer, Harmony also offers editing, proof reading, manuscript appraisal and beta reading services. As well as reviewing and supporting her fellow indie authors, Harmony works hard to promote and protect high standards within the indie publishing arena. She is always on the look out for talent and excellence, and will freely promote any authors or books who she feels have these attributes. Harmony lives in Cornwall, England.

Hello, everyone. Harmony here. First up, huge thanks to Soooz for hosting me today! She’s letting me visit today so that I can tell you about my latest book, Backstage. It is an erotic romance novel and deals with some of the sexual coercion scandals that have hit the acting industry in the last year.

 Here’s a bit about the book for you:

 Derek held up a hand, and when he spoke, his voice held amusement, ‘It’s not what you think. She led me on. She wanted it. Really, young man—’

John punched him on the mouth and then shoved him toward the doorway, where a crowd had gathered. Mike pushed his way through and helped John manhandle Prentis out of the room. When they’d gone, Sophie came in and shut the door behind her. She stood and looked at Emma, pale and drawn. Then her paralysis broke and she half-sobbed, ‘Oh, God. Emma.’ Her distress emphasized the Irish lilt to her voice. A second later, she stood at Emma’s side and helped her to her feet.

Numb and shocked, Emma reached down and retrieved her clothes, which had come off her feet in the struggle. When she had herself dressed again, Sophie pulled her into a gentle hug. ‘Oh, God, sweetie, yer face.’

Emma extricated herself from Sophie’s arms and turned to look in the mirror. How Derek could have thought that anyone would believe she’d wanted it was beyond her. Blood stained her lips and chin and had dripped onto her blue blouse, making it almost black where it had soaked in. Already, a large bruise and swelling showed on her jawline, and red handprints marked her cheeks. Appalled, she held a tentative hand to her split lip and winced when even that light touch hurt like holy hell.
